June 27 2011 - Wedding Roadtrip

This weekend was by far one of the best, EVER!!! On Tuesday Juliana and I went on a hunt for the "Snake House" that's here in Rexburg that has been all over the national news. We found it and at first were scared to even get out of the car. We finally did and little by little walked around the outside of the house. We found no snakes anywhere. So we started to poke things and lift up rocks, but there were no snakes anywhere!

Wednesday Ben and I went to Utah for his cousin's wedding. That was a lot of fun, anything and everything happened to us. We got there Wednesday night and went straight to my friend Jordan's house. We got to eat dinner with her and her husband Tyler. They showed us their mountain biking skills and now Ben and I want to try it out, it looks like a lot of fun.

Thursday we didn't really have much to do so we decided to go to the BYU library and study. We did that all morning which was great because I was able to get a lot done.

About half-way through our study my phone died. After we ate lunch I asked if we could go to Ben's car to get my charger. Sure enough when we get to the car we realize he had locked his keys inside! haha I think my favorite part about it was that neither of us panicked or got stressed out, instead we both just laughed. :) After about 5 minutes of checking and re-checking every door handle we went inside to try to find some locksmith phone numbers. The cheapest we could find was $40. Neither of us wanted to spend that much, knowing that it would only take two seconds for the locksmith to break into the car. haha So we had the brilliant idea of youtubing how to break into a car! After watching a few videos we were convinced we could do it. So we went outside with a screwdriver and a hanger. A few minutes later the car doors were unlocked and we recovered our keys! I would have taken pictures but my camera was also stuck inside the car.

A little while later Ben's family arrived from Boise and we all went out to dinner. It was a lot of fun and we automatically clicked which was great. No awkward moments.

After dinner we went to their hotel for some late night swimming. The water in the pool was actually really warm. At one point Ben started to throw us around (his sisters and I). One time I got really high and knew I was going to make a huge splash..........and I would have had it not been for Ben not paying attention and throwing me directly on top of his sister Kinsey! haha We bumped heads and I was laughing so hard I couldn't come up out of the water. So that was fun.

Friday was the wedding in Manti. At about midnight Thursday night I realized I had forgotten my recommend!!!! :( So early Friday morning I started making about a million phone calls just trying to get all the information I needed. Many wonderful people were able to help me and I was able to go in. It was awesome! I felt very blessed. After the wedding we went to a lunch. After the lunch we went to a dinner. Between the lunch and dinner I got to meet up with my friend Christian Olivetti who is a member that lived in Lujan when I was serving there. He is now here studying in the states.

Saturday morning I got to eat breakfast with my mission trainer, Brittney Bulger! It was great! After breakfast she helped me find an ice cream cake for Ben because it was exactly one year since he had gotten home from his mission. We went to SLC to eat lunch with his family and for dessert we had the cake. It was delicious!

Our trip back to Rexburg was great. We did some family history work at church. The best part was at night, we went to a fireside and learned a lot. After the fireside we went to the nursing home. I ran into an old friend there, colleen, she was one of the ladies I would sing to before my mission. I was soooo happy to see her. We had a big group go this time. After we sang to Colleen and her friend Rose, we went to sing to Mateo and Adair. They liked it a lot, but neither of them could clap so they just wooed us on. :) haha Finally, we went to sing to LeRoy. He's awesome! His daughter was visiting from Idaho Falls and it was just a very spiritual moment. We all felt the spirit very strongly.

Peace & Love.
